The European Service Module is ESA’s contribution to NASA’s Orion spacecraft that will send astronauts to the Moon and beyond. It provides power, water, oxygen and nitrogen, and keeps the spacecraft at the right temperature and on course.

Known for their reliability, Petercem microswitches were selected to be installed on the nozzle valves to provide two functions:

– The control of the thruster of the European service module

– The control of the thruster valves position

This integration was carried out in partnership with TESAT.
